N1 - Funding Information: When the rats were 18 days of age they each received 12 2-min odor preference tests. These tests were conducted in plastic cages measuring 15×26× 14 cm high. These cages had paper towel covered floors with a pencil mark across the midline and a circular dish (6 cm in diameter and 1.5 cm high) filled with pine shavings at each end.
