Has authored and coauthored over 200 publications. Has awarded the Myril B. Reed Best Paper Awards (twice). Has served in many Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada (NSERC) committees including: Grant selection committee on Communications, Computers and Components; Discovery Supplements Program Committee on Electrical Eng., Computer Science and Mathematics; Selection Committee of Doctoral Prizes in Engineering and Computer Science; ENR Steacie Memorial Fellowship Selection Committee; NSERC Strategic Networks. Has served as an advisor for NSERC{\textquoteright}s most prestigious Award: the Hertzberg Canada Gold Medal of Science and Engineering. He serves as a Scientific Liaison Officer for NSERC University/Industry Grants. Is a member of the Steering and Technical Program Committees of the Midwest Symposium on Circuits and Systems since 1989 and a member of the IEEE Technical Committee on Circuits and Systems for Communications. Has been a member of the Technical Program Committees of the JIEEEC and IMC. Has served as a chairperson, organizer of many technical sessions and member of the Technical Program committees of IEEE International Symposium on Circuits and Systems, the Midwest Symposiums on Circuits and Systems and the Canadian Conference on Engineering Education. Was the Chairman of the Technical Program Committee of the 1984 IEEE International Conference on System, Man and Cybernetics.",
